User Guide

Everything you need to know to get the most out of Momentum.

Creating a Yearly Goal

From the Dashboard, click 'Add Goal'. Give it a title, choose a category, set a target value and unit (e.g. 52 books, 100 workouts, $10,000 saved). Optionally set a deadline and priority level.

Goal Types

Goals can be numeric (track progress toward a number) or completion-based. Use the 'Unit' field to describe what you're counting — hours, km, pages, sessions, dollars, etc.

Priority Levels

Set goals as Low, Medium, High, or Critical. Higher priority goals appear more prominently in your dashboard and affect your weekly focus recommendations.

Weekday Only

Toggle 'Weekday Only' on a goal to exclude weekends from pace calculations — ideal for work or study goals that don't apply on weekends.

The Daily Timeline

Navigate to 'Daily Planning' to see your week's schedule. Each day is broken into time slots. You can add goals to specific slots to plan your day hour by hour.

Adding a Daily Goal

Click the '+' button on any time slot to add a task. Link it to an existing yearly goal to have completions automatically count toward your annual target, or add it as a standalone task.

Logging Progress

Check the checkbox next to any daily goal to mark it complete. If linked to a yearly goal, the units are added automatically. You can set how many units each completion adds.

Editing & Deleting

Hover over any daily goal to reveal edit and delete icons. You can change the time slot, description, linked goal, or units at any time.

How Streaks Work

A streak counts consecutive days where you completed at least one daily goal. Your current streak and longest-ever streak are displayed on the Dashboard.

Keeping Your Streak

Log at least one goal completion each day to keep your streak alive. Missing a day resets it to zero — so plan ahead on busy days.

Streak Motivation

Streaks are one of the most powerful motivation tools in Momentum. Even on low-energy days, completing one small task protects your streak and builds the habit of daily progress.

Overview

The Dashboard is your command center. It shows your active yearly goals, current pace vs. target pace, weekly progress, streaks, and a breakdown of what needs attention.

Pace Indicator

Each goal card shows whether you're Ahead, On Track, or Behind. This is calculated by comparing your current progress to where you should be on this day of the year.

Next Best Actions

The 'Next Best Actions' panel surfaces your highest-priority goals that are falling behind. Use this to decide what to focus on today.

Filtering & Sorting

Use the filter and sort controls at the top of the Dashboard to focus on specific categories, priorities, or completion status.

Weekly Targets

Each goal automatically calculates a weekly target based on your annual goal and remaining time. These targets appear in the 'This Week' column on the Dashboard.

Week Progress Card

The Week Progress card shows how many of this week's planned tasks you've completed. Aim for 100% each week to stay on track for your annual goals.

Using the Goals Page

The Goals page (Daily Planning tab) shows your weekly schedule across all linked goals. Use it to distribute your effort evenly across the week.

Yearly Report

Navigate to 'Report' in the sidebar for a deep-dive into your annual performance. See completion rates, monthly trends, your best and worst weeks, and projected year-end outcomes.

Weekly Completion Log

The completion log on the Report page shows a day-by-day breakdown of what you completed, making it easy to spot patterns and gaps.

Goal-by-Goal Charts

Select any goal in the report to see its individual progress chart — cumulative units over time vs. the ideal pace line.

Group Activity

If you're part of a User Group, the Report page includes a group activity feed showing your teammates' recent completions for shared goals.
